The Spa, Bridlington (Royal Hall)

This is the East Yorkshire coast’s premier award winning venue for meeting’s and events. Originally built in 1896 by Whitaker Brothers of Horsforth, Leeds and named the New Spa and Gardens, complete with promenades and lake fed by an iron rich chalybeate spring. Over the years it has undergone much re-building and refurbishment; the latest being carried out in 2006 to 2008 with state-of-the-art facilities.
The Royal Hall itself is a magnificent Art Deco ballroom with domed glass ceiling and original décor lovingly restored. The adjoining rooms where the workshops will be held have stunning views over looking the sea and the magnificent golden sandy beaches of Bridlington’s south bay.
Bridlington’s history stretches as far back as 400AD with the Roman occupation, and in 1072, William the Conqueror decided to confiscate the Manor of Bridlington. There has been numerous spellings of Bridlington over the years with the seaside town known as Burlington up until the 19th Century.
Bridlington’s first hotel opened in 1805 and the town soon developed as a popular holiday resort. Today the resort boasts 2 award winning beaches, stretching out on either side of the its historic, bustling harbour and beautifully designed promenade. Bridlington has an irresistible appeal for people of all ages and a special Bridlington welcome that is guaranteed to warm your heart.
